Itinerary (tentative):

Fri, May 9 (Las Vegas)
  Arrive in Las Vegas. Spend the night in or near Las Vegas. Pick up our
  rental vehicles.  Allan has rental car coupons.  I figure with the four 
  of us, we'll need two Vipers.
Sat, May 10 (Zion)
  Early morning, depart for Zion National Park. (anticipating
  a 3 hour drive.  Check into accommodations in Zion where we
  will be spending one night.  Explore Zion.  Key events:
  photograph sunset.
Sun, May 11 (Bryce)
  Explore Zion some more. 
  After sunset, drive to Bryce Canyon National Park (anticipating a 2 hour
  drive, likely less).  Check into accommodations in/near Bryce where
  we will spending two nights.
Mon, May 12 (Bryce)
  Explore Bryce and surrounding area.  Key events: sunrise, sunset.
Tue, May 13 (Page)
  Sunrise in Bryce.  Moon set in Bryce after sunrise.  Drive to Page in
  the morning (anticipating 2 hour drive).  Spend the afternoon relaxing
  in/near Page, around lake Powell.  Check into accommodations in/near Page
  where we will spending one night.  Key events: sunset, moon rise.
Wed, May 14 (Grand Canyon)
  Sunrise, moonset.  Spend 11am to 3pm in slot canyons.  Sunset, moonrise.
  Drive to north rim of Grand Canyon (anticipating 2hr drive).  Checkin to
  accommodations where we will be spending two nights.  Spend the afternoon
  at/around the north rim.  Sunset over Canyon.
Thu, May 15 (Grand Canyon)
  Hang out at Grand Canyon area north rim.  
Fri, May 16 (Lake Mead)
  Leave Grand Canyon, head over to the north shore of Lake Mead.  Maybe
  stop at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park.  4 hour drive.
Sat, May 17 (Las Vegas)
  Hang out at Lake Mead.  Drive back to LV (about 1 hour).
  Saturday night, party in Vegas.
Sun, May 18
  Fly home.
